Routine Assessment of Patient Index Data 3 (RAPID3)
What It Measures
RAPID3 gives a rheumatoid arthritis disease activity score without a joint count or a blood test. Everything comes from the patient, which is why it can be completed in the waiting room and scored by a clinician in under ten seconds.
Three things are combined, each scored 0 to 10. Physical function comes from ten questions about everyday activities, each rated from without any difficulty to unable to do. Pain is rated on a 0 to 10 scale for the past week. Patient global estimate asks how the person is doing overall, considering all the ways their condition affects them. The three sum to a total from 0 to 30, where higher means more active disease.

The 0–30 cumulative score uses severity categories of remission ≤3, low 3.1–6, moderate 6.1–12, and high >12. The 0–10 adjusted score divides that by three, with near-remission ≤1, low 1.01–2, moderate 2.01–4, and high >4. Check which a chart or study used.
